Wakatsuru distillery obtained a license to distill whisky in 1953 and has been producing a small amount of whisky on and off since this time. This bottle is a 20 year old single malt from the little known Wakatsuru Shuzou distillery in Toyama. A good whisky indeed. Try it to believe it!
Wakatsuru Single Malt 20 Year Old Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: A strong peaty nose.
Palate: Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice.
Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.

Wakatsuru is located in the Toyama Prefecture in the Chubu Region. Even though Whisky production only became possible in 1953, Wakatsuru Shozu Distillery started its Whisky production in 1862.
