Winemaker’s Background:

Founded in 1999 by Carl and Marilynn Thoma, Van Duzer Vineyards was among the first to embrace the challenging yet promising climate of the Van Duzer Corridor. Perched on a breezy knoll in the Willamette Valley, the estate’s 82 acres benefit from cooling Pacific winds funneled through a coastal gap. Their dedication to crafting balanced wines from a unique terroir has resulted in 25 years of expressive, site-driven bottlings that combine elegance with intensity.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve at room temperature (16–18°C) after opening one hour in advance. This wine pairs beautifully with aged Gouda, roast pork, duck breast, and dishes featuring root vegetables or wild mushrooms. Best enjoyed in a medium-bodied red wine glass to highlight its fruit-forward complexity and structure.
