This Lowland Single Malt, distilled in 1988, spent its first eight years in ex-bourbon barrels and another twelve years in Bordeaux wine casks from the Saint-Julien region. Limited to only 1,800 bottles, this expression took home an Outstanding Silver award at IWSC 2014.

A limited edition bottling from the Lowlands distillery, this Auchentoshan expression has spent eight years maturing in bourbon barrels before being transferred to the finest Saint-Julien Bordeaux wine casks for a further twelve years. Distilled in 1988 and released in 2008, only 1,800 bottles have been produced.

Nose: Ripe summer fruits.
Palate: Mixed berries and eucalyptus notes with a sweet nutty character.
Finish: Velvet smooth and deeply rewarding.
Distillery Information
Auchentoshan distillery was founded in 1800 and is one of the last remaining Lowland Single Malt Whisky distilleries. The distillery is nicknamed “Glasgow’s Distillery”due to its proximity to the eponymous city, and its whisky is nicknamed “breakfast whisky” due to its sweet flavor and elegant texture.
