Royal Oak golden rum is one of a stable of rums distilled by the Trinidadian firm of Angostura. It is made from molasses using column distillation and is a blend of 3-6 year old rums.
Angostura Royal Oak Select Trinidad Rum Tasting Notes
Nose: Buttery oaked nose with leather, coconut oil, light cinnamon spice and a note of linseed oil based old-fashioned paint.
Palate: Leathery, buttery, vanilla rich palate with aggressive peppery spiced, burnt plastic back note.
Finish: Bitter, burnt crème caramel, burnt plastic finish.
