The House of Angostura has released a limited-edition bitter to celebrate the brand’s bicentenary this year. These new bitters are limited to just 120,000 bottles globally. Paired with aged Angostura rum, the bitters feature a blend of herbs and spices reminiscent of those used by the brand’s founder, Dr Johann Siegert, in his 1824 apothecary.

Nose: Mint top note of cardamom, orange and earthiness. Background subtle sweet aniseed with cinnamon layer adding a creaminess to the overall layer.
Palate: Sweet aniseed and spicy top note with an astringent mouth feel. Slight bitterness on the palate with a cooling mint finish.
Finish: Long lasting bitterness with the cardamom engulfing the palate on the finish
