Description
It’s a ripe and powerful red with 15.5% alcohol aged in brand new French barriques for 14 months. It remains an XL red blend, with plenty of ripeness, tannin, oak and body.It’s still a well made blend of Malbec with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, with dense, plush, ripely textured fruit and firmish tannins.
This ultraripe Malbec-led blend suggests aged P. X. Sherry via raisin and citrus peel aromas. A jammy palate manages to exhibit balance, despite heavy ripeness, while flavors of blackberry, cassis and prune are dark and dense. A savory, warm, saturated finish continues the theme of maximum ripeness.
