Description
Named after the man who founded the distillery in 1889, Thomas S. Moore is a new ultra-premium bourbon from the 1792 Barton Distillery. Crafted from 1792’s signature high rye mash bill of 74% corn, 18% rye, 8% barley, Thomas S. Moore’s releases have been finished for an extended period of time in a range of secondary cask types that previously matured various wines and spirits from around the world. This expression has been finished in a secondary cask of Cabernet Sauvignon for approximately two and a half years, adding rich flavor to the whiskey. Bottled at 47.65% ABV (95.3-proof), the nose opens with aromatic notes of caramelized honey, blueberries, and raspberries with hints of apricot, tobacco and roasted oak. The palate is rich and creamy with notes of toasted caramel, vanilla, blackberry, orange peel, cinnamon and tobacco leading to a smooth oaky finish. …
